Hallucinating Eggs

Project Description

This project started with a pile of old, broken skateboards. I stripped off the grip tape, cut them into pieces, then stacked and glued them into a solid block. From there, the block was sliced into squares and sanded down into egg shapes - fitting, given it was Easter time. As the layers come together, the original colours of the skateboards reveal themselves as natural rings running through each egg, giving each one its own colourful, striped character.
